Hi, welcome.
Here's (part of) my story...

I’m Joy. I help people and organisations create space for what matters, lead with purpose, and live with intention.
Over the past 15+ years, I’ve worked across corporate, community, and creative spaces – from leading brand and engagement strategies for national organisations to speaking on stages and sparking powerful conversations. Today, I bring together everything I’ve learned – in leadership, communication, coaching, and mental health – to help people and teams thrive.
But the path that brough me here wasn't linear... or polished.
In 2017, I experienced a deeply challenging chapter of burnout, identity loss, and postnatal depression and anxiety. On the outside, I was “doing all the right things.” On the inside, I was completely untethered. It was through therapy, creative expression, and small but honest conversations that I began to rebuild, not just my energy, but my sense of self. That season sparked a personal transformation and a professional shift: I knew I wanted to help others navigate change with more clarity, confidence and connection than I’d had.
Now, as a coach, facilitator and speaker, I help others explore what truly matters, and build lives, teams and messages that reflect it.
My work is grounded in evidence-based tools from neuroscience and positive psychology, shaped by lived experience, and driven by the belief that clarity, courage and connection are the foundations for wellbeing and impact.
I’m also shaped by my experience as a Filipino-Catholic immigrant to Australia, a married mum of two, and someone living with endometriosis. These parts of my story deepen my empathy and fuel my advocacy work, whether I’m speaking as a Gotcha4Life facilitator, equipping communities and students with tools to build their mental fitness, a Gidget Foundation Ambassador, raising awareness about perinatal mental health, or sharing what it’s like to build creative practice and mindfulness into daily life while navigating life with chronic illness (which I do through calligraphy and watercolour art at Finding Joy).
My experiences remind me that behind every role, every goal, every conversation, there’s a human being trying to be seen, heard, and understood.
Whether I’m supporting individuals in transition, working with leaders to build psychologically safe teams, or helping a brand find its voice, I’m here to make space for what matters most.

What I do, and who I do it with
I support leaders and organisations in the for-purpose sector to:
-
Gain clarity on what matters most
-
Build the courage to move forward with intention
-
Communicate confidently, with purpose and authenticity
-
And ultimately, live and lead in alignment with their values
While I wear many hats, my approach is always grounded in clarity, courage, and connection, and tailored to meet people where they are. I work with:
-
Purpose-led individuals navigating transition or seeking greater alignment in their life or leadership
-
Teams and organisations committed to growing their people, building mentally fit workplaces, and communicating with more clarity and impact
-
Creative, courageous humans who want to use their voice and values to create change
What makes my approach different?
I don’t do cookie-cutter coaching or generic advice.
What sets my work apart is the way I blend:
-
Evidence-based coaching, informed by neuroscience, positive psychology, and lived experience
-
Storytelling and strategic communication, honed over a decade in brand, marketing and engagement roles
-
A genuinely warm, grounded presence that creates space for deep reflection and honest growth
-
A practical mindset that helps turn insight into aligned, achievable action
I’m an ACC-certified coach through the International Coaching Federation, with postgraduate training in brain-based coaching and neurobiology. I follow ICF’s professional and ethical standards, and bring a trauma-aware, compassionate lens to my work. I’m also a certified Mental Health First Aid Officer, a mentor with the Raise Foundation, and a proud Ambassador for the Gidget Foundation.
Clients tell me they feel seen, heard, and deeply supported, and leave with a clearer sense of self, direction, and next steps.

In the media
I've been honoured to share my story and speak on topics such as mental health, storytelling, psychological safety, respectful relationships, and purpose-led leadership through a range of podcasts, panels, and national media platforms.
From TV interviews to advocacy panels, these conversations reflect the heart of my work: helping people reconnect with what matters, speak their truth, and create spaces where others can do the same.
